Everything we know about Bridgerton Season 2 so far

Bridgerton Season 2 is currently not confirmed, but there are high hopes that it will happen. Writers are already working on the scripts, suggesting that it has been quietly renewed for now.

While we don’t know what is going to happen, we can get some ideas based on Julia Quinn’s novels. We share everything that we know so far, with updates coming as they happen.

Here’s what we know about Bridgerton Season 2 so far.

Update on Jan. 21, 2021: Bridgerton Season 2 is now confirmed. Check out the cute announcement video.

Bridgerton Season 2 release date

Let’s just start with the release date. Without the season being officially confirmed, we don’t know when the season will premiere.

In the majority of cases, it will take 14 to 18 months between seasons, so we could expect Bridgerton Season 2 around February 2022 under normal circumstances. Of course, we’re not under normal circumstances right now.

Phoebe Dynevor says that she can’t imagine filming during the pandemic. The show may want to see what Outlander is doing for Season 6 to get an idea of how to film.

Bridgerton Season 2 cast

Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page will need to return as the lead characters of the series. The good news is Page has already said he is interested in returning to the role of Simon, Duke of Hastings.

Golda Rosheuvel is also likely to return as Queen Charlotte. And there are plenty of other characters who show up in the books again. The show should want to focus on Queen Charlotte’s storyline with King George. George was the king with poor mental health, and it’s time to humanize instead of ridicule the person from history.

Bridgerton Season 2 trailer

With no second season confirmed just yet, there can’t be a trailer. We’re expecting this about a month before the release of the season. There may be a teaser trailer two months before.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for you.

Bridgerton Season 2 synopsis

Finally, the synopsis. This would depend on the book the writers decide to go with next. The opportunity is there to combine the books to continue each of the main characters’ storylines from the first season.

Combining the books may make more sense when it comes to TV productions.
