9-1-1: Lone Star Season 2, Episode 2 did not disappoint when it came to shocking moments. Here are the five biggest WTF moments from the episode.

If you thought dams breaking and tsunamis were big, wait until you check out 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 2, Episode 2. A volcanic eruption led to a series of problems, including melting skin and scorpions in a food truck.

It all started with one volcanic eruption of a volcano thought completely inactive. It turns out it was only dormant, and that one eruption led to a number of others. Of course, that meant a lot of work for the 126.

Here are the five WTF moments from 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 2, Episode 2.

Melting skin in 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 2, Episode 2

It all starts with a volcanic eruption under a pool, although that was eight hours after the first event. There’s an explosion at a mini-golf place, which has a similar effect. Both lead to melting skin.

In the case of the mini-golf, a dad is physically stuck to the devil. In the pool, a girl try to pull the guy she’s trying to hook up with only to literally pull his skin off his arm. It just gives you an idea of the heat lava gets to.

Not just the one eruption

It turns out the one volcano isn’t the only one. It’s not the original volcano that has erupted but small cracks around the main part. More mini volcanos have opened up, and they’re just as dangerous as the main one.

And it’s not just normal lava. There are fireballs being shot out of the volcano. The 118 has never had something like this happen!

There is a lot more to come. The volcanic eruptions have led to a wildfire that will give us the storyline for the 9-1-1/9-1-1: Lone Star crossover next episode.

Scorpions in a food truck

At the end of the 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 2 premiere, there was a woman in a food truck taking inventory and listening to meditation tapes. Well, she ended up with a fright of her life. A bunch of poisonous scorpions turned up.

They were all running from the lava, and I can’t quite blame them. But it did mean Grace had to find a way to get this woman out of the food truck and to safety. It turns out a vinaigrette in a spray bottle is perfect, getting the woman off the countertop and to the door, where Carlos had happened to be.

Volcano fireball to the chest

The party had more than just a volcano open up under the water. The volcano started firing off fireballs around the area, putting everyone at risk. One of the balls hit the chest of a boy who had just said he wanted to be a girl’s boyfriend. Tommy and Nancy helped him, getting the lava rock out of the guy’s chest to save his life.

However, there was something more devastating that happened. Another fireball landed on Tim. He wasn’t as fortunate.

Owen still living with survivor’s guilt

At the start of the episode, everyone celebrated that Owen had got his second opinion. His cancer is officially in remission. Yet, Owen doesn’t seem to be all that happy.

It turns out that it has everything to do with survivor’s guilt. In his mind, he thought the cancer was the universe’s way of catching up with him. He feels guilty that he survived 9/11 when those close to him didn’t. Now he has to deal with the fact that his cancer is gone.

He should be happy, but it’s hard to be when you have survivor’s guilt. Owen needs to talk to someone about it.
