How many seasons of Euphoria will there be?

Euphoria is one show with seemingly endless room to grow, in the best of ways. Currently, the HBO drama series has one season under its belt and another on the way, not to mention two in-between episodes that recently dropped. So it comes as no surprise that fans are already wondering if there’s going to be more to this instant hit than two seasons and those unforgettable special episodes. And it’s a fair question, all things considered.

If you’re unfamiliar with Euphoria, here’s the premise, in a nutshell.

What is Euphoria about?

Created by Sam Levinson, Euphoria follows a group of modern-day high school students navigating love, sex, identity, past and present traumas, dreams, along with who they can really trust with their darkest secrets and most painful realizations at the end of each day. Zendaya and Hunter Schafer star, along with a very talented cast.

Of the first season, the Rotten Tomatoes Critics Consensus notes that Euphoria is “at times hard to watch,” but “balances its brutal honesty with an empathetic — and visually gorgeous — eye to create a uniquely challenging and illuminating series, held together by a powerfully understated performance from Zendaya,” and we’d definitely agree with that take.

Reportedly, season 2 of Euphoria will be just as stunning, “balanced,” and perhaps even more difficult to watch in those emotionally heavy moments. As noted by Thrillist, those behind the series say it’s definitely going to be darker this time around. However, everyone’s still remaining as hush-hush as possible when it comes to actual plot points.

And so, while it’s difficult to know just how far the series will go, we have high hopes there’s still much more to come.

How long will Euphoria go on?

So far, Euphoria has only been confirmed for the second season. With season 2 still on the way, there’s plenty of time for season 3 to be announced, however. And fingers crossed that it definitely will be!
