4. August & Geri give Walker some much-needed answers about Emily’s death.

Walker’s obsession with Emily’s death despite the fact they already arrested the man who confessed and put him behind bars feels like his way of keeping her memory alive without being forced to move forward. He is adamant that things don’t add up about Emily’s death, such as why her eyes were closed and why she was carrying around a poker chip.

I thought there would be a greater mystery to her death, too, that would carry out throughout the seas, but it doesn’t look like Walker is going in that direction. Geri admits to Walker that she closed Emily’s eyes because she couldn’t bear to leave her the way she was when she died. As for the poker chip, August explains that it was part of Walker’s Father’s Day gift. Emily had gotten him a beautiful set of poker chips and had taken to carrying one around so she could show people.

3. Walker Episode 2 features a big, cathartic fight between Liam & Walker.

One of the most cathartic scenes of the first two episodes happens when Liam and Walker come to blows. After Stella remarks Liam once trying to get custody of her and August, Walker violently confronts his brother for trying to “take his kids.”

That’s not really what happened. Liam was worried they would be left orphaned with Emily dead and Walker gone into the wind for three months (and then some). While the fight starts brutally, Liam helps put things in perspective for his brother. He needs to get his act together and be there for his kids.
