Amy Schumer is getting real with her followers on social media.

The 39-year-old comedian gave birth to her first child back in May 2019, and is now showing off her scar from the C-section she had. The I Feel Pretty star is married to a chef named Chris Fischer, and their baby boy, Gene David Fischer, is now over a year old. As reported by People, Schumer took to Instagram last night to share a nude selfie in which her scar can be seen. She playfully wrote in the caption, “Feeling like my c section looks cute today! #hotgirlwinter #csection.”

As noted by People, many celebrities and fans alike took to Schumer’s comments section to praise her for her vulnerability. Many complimented her on choosing to show off what was able to make her a mom, and applauded her on being so real with her followers. “Amen sister! Scars are beautiful,” one person wrote, while another added, “Beautiful body! I need to love my c-section more.”

Fans of Amy Schumer will know that she’s often very open with her fans on social media, and has discussed the ups and downs she experienced while pregnant on numerous occasions. She’s also been a strong advocate for promoting body positivity, which has garnered tons of praise as well.

So are more kids in Amy and husband Chris’ future? Likely not anytime soon. In August 2020, the Trainwreck star revealed she no longer wanted to do IVF (In vitro fertilization), sharing while on the Today Show that she has no desire to become pregnant again. “We talked about a surrogate, but I think we’re going to hold off for right now,” she said.

Pregnancy and childbirth are both obviously very difficult experiences, and we commend Amy Schumer for always keeping it real and honest with the public.
