9-1-1 Season 4, Episode 3 is, as usual, going to have a lot going on. We do have to talk about Athena’s storyline. After the events of the landslide and the dam breaking, she is back in the saddle. It’s so good to see Athena back to work and facing her fears, and I appreciate the series focusing on her fears after that brutal attack that nearly killed her.

Athena has her work cut out for her, though. Thanks to COVID protocols that involve mask-wearing, it’s much harder to tell who a person is. And these people are walking into banks with their faces covered without question!

What will help her figure out who the suspect is? There has to be something.

Meanwhile, the 118 will have plenty to keep them occupied. One of those is a man who is under attack in his own home. In fact, he’s under attack by his own home. All those smart devices are going to turn out to be hell. I’m sure it will bring up a conversation about people relying on tech.

Hen will have her own storyline while at med school. She has a difficult partner, but what exactly makes this partner so difficult?

The ending to this episode is going to be important. The 118 gets an opportunity to go some good out of state. It’s going to get us ready for the crossover with 9-1-1: Lone Star in the hour afterward.
