5. Walker Season 1, Episode 4 recap: Sheriff Monty Shaw is dirty

Episode 4’s case revolves around the murder of Harlan Shaw, owner of Harlan Oil. It initially looks like an easy solve, with fleeing employee Enzo fingered as the culprit. Adding to the suspicion is Enzo’s past involvement with the Olividado gang.

Enzo dies in the hospital before the rangers can question him, but it looks like an open-and-shut case on the surface. At least until Enzo’s daughter appeals on her father’s behalf to Micki. Believing there might be more to the story, Micki convinces Walker to help her further investigate.

They find out that Enzo was Harlan’s illegitimate son and that Sheriff Monty was having an affair with Harlan’s wife (and yes, that was Aunt Zelda from Sabrina the Teenage Witch!). Shaw worked with Mrs. Harlan to frame Enzo for Bob’s death so that they could get the inheritance. In the end, Shaw is arrested, and Bob’s fortune diverts to Enzo’s daughter.
