The Pearson family is set to expand on This Is Us Season 5, Episode 8. Babies are on the way as both Kevin and Kate prepare for the birth of their respective children.
On the previous episode, Kate told Kevin that she’s headed to the hospital to meet with Ellie, the birth mom of their adopted child. Ellie is being induced so Kate and Toby’s baby should arrive soon. Despite some initial fears over the adoption, Ellie reassured Kate that she has no intention of keeping the baby and would love for Kate to adopt the child.
Kate is not the only Pearson expecting a child. Kevin is expecting two children in the form of twins with his fiancée, Madison. Surprisingly, Madison went into labor ahead of schedule while Kevin remained in Vancouver to finish his movie. Kevin dropped everything, got in a car, and raced to the airport to try and make it home for the birth.
In typical This Is Us fashion. nothing goes according to plan. Kevin saved a man from a wrecked car on the side of the road and drove him to the hospital. Although Kevin completed the good deed, it may have been costly since he dropped his wallet at the scene of the crime, which proved to be a costly mistake as a TSA Agent would not let Kevin through security without an ID.

Kevin’s chances of making it to the birth on time are slim, but that doesn’t mean Madison will be alone. In a shocking twist, Randall and Beth called Madison while she’s in the hospital. Randall reassured Madison that she’s family and he will stay on the phone with her if that helps her relax. In the promo, Randall and Beth are coaching Madison through her contractions.
