Barchie shippers, start your engines! Your time has come on Riverdale Season 5. After Archie and Betty’s steamy shower scene in “The Homecoming,” Season 5, Episode 6 sets their friends with benefits vibe ablaze. But it’s not all fun and hookups for the lifelong friends.
When we last left the gang seven years into the future, Archie gathered his old friends back together to save their beloved haunted hometown from the clutches of Hiram Lodge’s evil agenda. Being so, Archie convinced Betty, Jughead, and Veronica to return as teachers at Riverdale High.
Before we think too much about none of them having teaching degrees, Riverdale Season 5 welcomes the gang back to school in new roles, but Archie and Toni need Cheryl’s help (more like her checkbook’s help) to get the athletic teams back off the ground.
Elsewhere, Veronica introduces her friends to her husband, Chad, and that’s one introduction that all but promises to be super awkward for a certain someone named Archiekins. Meanwhile, Betty joins forces with Alice and Kevin to look into the trouble Polly could be facing with the Ghoulies. (Yes, the Ghoulies are back.)

Veronica introduces her husband Chad (guest star Chris Mason) to the group after he shows up unexpectedly in Riverdale. After realizing they are out of funds, Archie and Toni (Vanessa Morgan) turn to Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) for help restarting the football and cheer teams. Finally, Betty, Kevin (Casey Cott) and Alice (Mädchen Amick) follow a lead after learning that Polly (guest star Tiera Skovbye) may be in trouble."
