Where to stream Raya and the Last Dragon: Netflix? Disney Plus?

Raya and the Last Dragon is now in select theaters, but it’s also streaming online. Where can you stream the new animated family movie?

The new Disney animated movie is available in theaters around the United States. Of course, some theaters are still closed and not everyone wants to go out to them just yet to minimize the risk of the virus. So, Disney has thought about that.

Like Mulan in 2020, Raya and the Last Dragon is coming straight to Disney Plus but through the Premier Access. That means as well as your Disney Plus subscription, you’ll need to pay $30 to watch the movie. You’ll get to keep the movie in your Disney Plus account for the whole time, so you can watch it over and over again.

You’ve got until May 4 to get the movie if you’re going to buy it through Premier Access. However, it will eventually come to Disney Plus with your subscription.

When will Raya and the Last Dragon be free for Disney Plus subscribers?

It’s going to be three months before the movie is available for all. If you’re not interested in paying for the Premier Access, then you’ll need to wait until June 4.

If you have a group of children who usually go to the theaters, paying for Premier Access is likely worthwhile. I know it is for my family, where theaters would cost more than $30 just for two adult tickets! However, if you’re on your own or it’s cheaper to head to the theaters, you might want to wait for it to be free for all Disney Plus subscribers.

Like Mulan, the movie will also come to DVD and Blu-ray in the future.

What is Rayan and the Last Dragon about?

The Disney Plus movie starts in the fantasy world of Kumandra. Humans and dragons have lived in harmony, but then sinister monsters called the Druun threatened the land and dragons sacrificed themselves to protect the humans.

It’s now 500 years later and the Druun have returned. They once again threaten the humans, and now there are no dragons left. Except one. Can a lone warrior find the dragon, and will it be enough to stop the monsters?

Raya and the Last Dragon is on Disney Plus with Premier Access now and will be available for all subscribers on June 4.
