The One on Netflix: Will Mark stay with Hannah?

From all the stories and questions The One season 1 on Netflix left audiences with, we are the most interested in the insane love triangle between Mark, Hannah, and Megan. Who will Mark end up with in season 2?

Please note, before you read on, there are spoilers ahead! Watch all episodes of The One, now streaming on Netflix, and then hurry back! That is unless you don’t mind spoilers.

I’ll be honest, I’m not Hannah’s biggest fan. Sending Mark’s DNA to the DNA-based service is a massive invasion of privacy. It’s such an insecure move. Hannah needs therapy and all the help she can get to work on her own issues.

But Hannah’s insecurity isn’t the main topic here. What’s done is done. Hannah learned that Megan is Mark’s match aka the one he is supposed to be with. Hannah even takes things further and befriends Megan.

Unfortunately, for Hannah, things go from bad to worse — but really, what else was Hannah expecting?

Who will Mark end up with on The One season 2, Megan or Hannah?

On one hand, Mark and Hannah are married. Mark and Hannah should not let this “match” play with their heads. A flaw has already surfaced in the system, as it turns out, you can match with more than one person.

I believe it’s part attraction, part believing that this person you matched with is truly the one for you. Therefore, it’s sad that Mark momentarily allowed it to play with his head. Make no mistake, he kept his infidelity a secret from Hannah, and this will surely come back to haunt him in season 2.

Then, there’s the fact that Hannah is pregnant, another factor that will keep Mark attached to Hannah, even if Megan returns to the picture.

But what if Megan returns with Hannah’s match? Megan did steal a strand of Hannah’s hair with the intention of finding Hannah’s match. My guess is that Megan wants Hannah out of the way so that she can be with Mark.

Hannah is obsessively in love with Mark AND pregnant with his child, so I don’t see her leaving Mark’s side anytime soon. But you never know! Will Mark and Hannah be endgame and prove the system wrong?
