Resident Alien: Did Dan really [spoiler] Harry’s [spoiler]?

The truth is out for some people, but that’s not the biggest concern on Resident Alien Season 1, Episode 8. Dan had to take action to save Harry’s life.

Just in case the title wasn’t enough to give it away, there are major spoilers from Resident Alien Season 1, Episode 8 in this post. We’re getting straight into them, so if you haven’t seen the episode yet, click away! How about reading the great news about the show’s future?

That’s right, Episode 8 aired off the back of the news that Resident Alien Season 2 is happening. It’s great news, especially knowing that we won’t have to worry about potential cliffhangers at the end of the first season.

However, it also makes us question Dan’s actions on the recent episode even more. When Harry was bleeding out and dying, Asta was the one to initially save his life but she couldn’t do what had to be done. Harry said his leg needs to go, and Dan seemed to have no problem in that happening.

Just before the credits rolled, we watched Dan bring down the ax. All we heard were Harry’s screams, but it’s not clear yet if Dan actually did chop off Harry’s leg or not.

Will Harry’s leg grow back on Resident Alien?

Something that wasn’t brought up was why Harry didn’t blink an eye at the thought of losing his leg. He knew it had to be done to save his life and there was absolutely no discussion about it.

Asta didn’t argue about it, either, even if she couldn’t go through with it in the end. There was no discussion about what would happen after.

Is it possible that Harry can make his leg grow back? His species is able to transform his body if he has the DNA, so is it possible that he can also regrow a limb because he has his own DNA structure?

It would certainly make sense, otherwise, a much bigger discussion should have probably happened about why Harry was perfectly fine losing his leg to save his life. We may get answers to this in the next episode.

Of course, the alternative is that Dan couldn’t go through with it. But that wouldn’t explain the screams of pain from Harry.

With his leg gone, Harry has a major problem. The military is closing in and he’s going to need time to grow the leg back, if that’s really what will happen. It’s impossible to work with the source material at this point considering so much has already changed.
