Bob’s Burgers: 5 best moments from Y Tu Tina Tambieìn
Bob’s Burgers is known for having great characters and no character seems to steal the show more than Tina Belcher. While she might have started off with an unconventional first appearance, Tina has quickly become a fan favorite. For some, it’s due to how relatable she is while others just enjoy seeing a cartoon daughter who isn’t the butt of the joke all the time.
Either way, Tina Belcher has quickly become the go-to character for fans. That’s not to say the rest of the Belcher family doesn’t have fans because they do. Obviously, there are fans of all ages so everyone has a favorite. However, it does seem like Tina is also a favorite when it comes to the show especially the writers. In a given season, there could be up to three or four episodes with Tina at the center while only one or two focused on her siblings.
Maybe it’s just because Tina has a lot of different plotlines to explore or maybe the Bob’s Burgers writers just have an easier time, writing for the character. Nevertheless, Tina is still a great and iconic character in the series. Throughout the series, we’ve watched her try a handful of new hobbies including witchcraft, singing, being a pretend girlfriend, and trying her hand at magic. Each time, disaster usually strikes so “Y Tu Tina También” will probably be no exception.
Before talking about the moments from the episode, there will be spoilers from Bob’s Burgers episode, “Y Tu Tina También.” Let’s get into the episode and see some of the best moments from Season 11, Episode 16.
Here are the five best moments from Bob’s Burger’s “Y Tu Tina También.”
Tina’s teenage tantrum
The first moment comes with Tina having her own version of a “teenage crisis.” It starts off with Tina not having anything good to write in her diary, her not wanting the family to look at her and her just generally being a Debbie Downer.
It’s unlike Tina and it really sets the mood for the rest of the episode. It even ends with Tina talking to her Spanish teacher and him trying to help her feel better but deciding to give her some extra Spanish work.
Tina’s cassette crush
The second moment comes while Tina is listening to her language labs for Spanish. It starts off with her still being pretty miserable until she realizes that the tape features a Spanish teenager and she ends up falling in love with his voice.
It results in her having fantasies about Rodrigo and that having to listen to those language lab tapes isn’t nearly as bad as she thought. No doubt she’s going to soon get a taste of reality.
Gene and Louise find out Tina’s truth
The next unforgettable moment came when Gene and Louise went to check on Tina. They’re already worried about her since she’s not helping them with the dunk tank. When they get there, the two realize that Tina developed a crush on the guy from her language lab.
They’re incredibly shocked and it really takes them by surprise as they almost catch Tina trying to kiss a bookshelf in the library. It also throws a huge monkey wrench in their relationship as siblings.
Bob and Linda are endlessly cool
Moving away from Tina, Bob and Linda have a surprisingly fun time before they decide to go to the school fair. They’re hosting the water booth and Linda wants to try to be cool. She comes up with a few different ideas including putting fun words on cups, making Bob put his baseball hat on backward and Linda even tried to get him to wear fingerless gloves.
It’s an odd moment for Linda but Bob reassures her in the end and kids end up coming to them because of the spicy foods they ate.
Tina makes the right choice
The final unforgettable moment comes when Tina starts to regret ditching Louise and Gene. It only comes because Gene and Louise decide to record over the tape. During the tape, Louise explains that it won’t matter if they can dunk Mr. Frond since Tina won’t be there to see it happen.
Eventually, Tina realizes that her siblings are more important than Rodrigo and she decides to come down, resulting in her dunking Mr. Frond with their final ticket.
