It’s time to catch up with where the 118 is at. 9-1-1 Season 4, Episode 9 brings us Maddie in labor and a drunk driver on the highway.
After taking some weeks off, the 118 is back in action. This break has been about standard for the series. We’d have had it during the actual winter had the show premiered in the fall as usual.
However, that hasn’t stopped us looking forward to more. The winter finale left us with one big question about Hen and Karen. Were they going to lose Nia? It certainly seemed that way, and that’s the case with the synopsis for tonight’s all-new episode.
The two will need to see Nia head off to her birth mother. How long with Nia remain there? Will this be for good, or will social services take Nia back and allow Karen and Hen to adopt her?

Meanwhile, Maddie will go into labor. Fortunately, Chimney will be by her side at the hospital. It’s possibly not going to be the birth she envisioned, especially with all the COVID protocols at the hospital, but having a safe and healthy baby is the most important thing right now.
Chimney may need to step away from the call for the episode. A drunk driver on the wrong side of the highway is going to cause a major crash. The 118 and Athena will be out in force to help tackle the situation, and it’s a major one.
During the promo for the episode, Athena asks how many more have to die tonight. Just how many will they lose?
