Jordan took a big hit on the field on All American Season 3, Episode 10. Now his entire football future is in jeopardy. Will he play football again?

Not all high school football players can make a career out of the sport they love. However, Jordan hoped that he could.

When he took the hit on the field, we knew it was serious. Jordan has been medicating to avoid the symptoms of a concussion, and now he’s got a serious injury because of it. He’ll make a full recovery as long as he follows the doctor’s orders, but those orders are going to be difficult.

At the end of the episode, Jordan told his parents that the doctor said he can’t play football for the year. That probably wouldn’t be too bad had it been his junior year. However, this is his senior year, which is his chance to get into a good school to continue with the career.

Will Jordan try to cheat his way back into football on All American?

There is a chance Jordan will try to cheat his way back onto the team. He could continue to take anti-nausea medication to stem the side effects of a concussion. However, Coach Montes is smart and she cares about her players as well as the game. There’s no way she’d let him back on the team once she finds out that he’s not allowed to play football for the rest of the year.

And it’s not like she won’t find out. Someone could tell the coach that he shouldn’t be playing. If he tries to cheat his way through this one, he’s going to lose a lot of support and trust.

So, he needs to figure out what he’s going to do instead of football. This is a major point in his life. There are other things that he’s good at, but he probably doesn’t realize it right now. It’s something he needs to take the time to discover.

I appreciate All American telling this story. Most times, a show would still try to keep a character on the career path of their dreams. All American has always been grounded, and this is another case where that happens. Hopefully, the writers don’t give us a miracle recovery that only works in TV land. It’s time to show the real dangers of hiding concussion symptoms.
