We know New Amsterdam Season 4 is going to happen, but what else do we know? We take a look inside with this post.
Admittedly, we don’t know a lot of information right now. This is one of those posts to bookmark, as we’ll keep it updated with all the current information.
As of writing this, though, the third season is still airing. We have no idea how that third season is going to come to an end and whether everyone will make it out and into the fourth season. However, we’re hoping that they all will.
Here’s a look at what we do know about New Amsterdam Season 4 so far.
New Amsterdam Season 4 premiere date
It’s hard to determine a premiere date for the series. The first two seasons premiered in the fall. While that was the initial plan for the third season, it was pushed to March 2021 due to the pandemic.
NBC wants to return to a normal TV schedule for the 2021-2022 season. With that in mind, New Amsterdam should return to the fall, but it will depend on filming capabilities. We’re holding out some hope for a fall return.
New Amsterdam Season 4 cast
We’re expecting the current cast to return. That includes:
- Ryan Eggold as Dr. Maximus “Max” Goodwin
- Janet Montgomery as Dr. Lauren Bloom
- Freema Agyeman as Dr. Helen Sharpe
- Jocko Sims as Dr. Floyd Reynolds
- Tyler Labine as Dr. Ignatius “Iggy” Frome
The only original cast member who isn’t returning is Anupam Kher as Dr. Vijay Kapoor. Due to personal reasons, Kher has left the series.
We’ll also likely see the following return:
- Alejandro Hernandez as Casey
- Christine Chang as Agnes
- Debra Monk as Karen
- Megan Byrne as Gladys
- Shiva Kalaiselvan as Leyla
New Amsterdam Season 4 trailer
With the fourth season not even filming yet, it shouldn’t be too surprising to hear there isn’t a trailer yet. This is going to arrive shortly before the premiere date, so we’ll keep an eye out for that.
New Amsterdam Season 4 synopsis
One thing we know for sure with this series is that Max will continue to try to help and make a complete mess in the process. His heart is in the right place, but he barely ever listens to what is really needed at the time.
Other than that, we’ll have medical problems, relationship problems, and much more. We’ll bring the synopsis for the fourth season once it’s released.
