Big Brother Season 23 release date, cast, trailer, synopsis and more
By Reed Gaudens
Are you ready for another summer of expecting the unexpected? After a rocky all-star season, Big Brother Season 23 returns with an all-new cast and an all-new take on the game.
Last season, past favorites and new school players clashed in the second all-star edition of the long-running CBS reality competition series to mixed results. Once again, the game was overrun by a large alliance sweeping the game with competition wins and aggressive dominance.
Obviously, we’re hoping for a season that gets back to basics and sheds everything that Big Brother has become in the age of social media. We’re looking for big moves, clever gameplay, and a lack of problematic players taking the fun out of the competition.
But first, let’s take a closer look at the upcoming season. When does BB23 premiere and what can we anticipate from the cast, twists, and more? Below, we’re sharing everything we know!
Big Brother Season 23 release date
If you have been longing for your next Big Brother fix, get ready for another summer of expecting the unexpected. CBS has officially announced that BB23 kicks off on Wednesday, July 7 at 8/7c with a 90-minute live premiere.
Of course, each new episode will also be available to stream on Paramount+ live as well as next day. (Don’t forget about the live feeds!) The season will follow suit with the usual schedule, airing three nights per week on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8/7c.
Big Brother Season 23 cast
As of this writing, the BB23 cast has not been revealed. It’s unclear whether the cast will be revealed during the live premiere or whether we’ll get the chance to get to know the newbies ahead of time. But it appears as though the cast will be comprised of all newbies and no returning veterans, a welcome change-up to mistakes of the past.
Big Brother Season 23 synopsis
The logline for BB23 hints that the season will feature a theme of “Big Risks and Big Rewards,” seemingly making the game more high-stakes than ever. We won’t know the extent of the season’s twist until Julie Chen-Moonves lets us in on the secret on premiere night, but perhaps we’ll be seeing a poker theme throughout the house.
Big Brother Season 23 trailer
Currently, there is no trailer for BB23, and there will more than likely not be one. Since the season films in real time, advanced clips aren’t entirely possible, especially for the premiere episode. However, we should keep an eye out for Julie’s tour of the house and potential pre-show interviews with the cast.
