Friends reunion trailer
In the emotionally charged trailer for Friends: The Reunion, HBO Max offers up our first glimpses at the highly anticipated special which is sure to be quite a rollercoaster ride not only for the cast but for fans of the beloved Emmy-winning comedy series.
Among the trailer’s many highlights is our first look at the Friends cast returning to some of the show’s most iconic sets including Monica and Joey and Chandler’s apartments, the Central Perk and even the iconic fountain where the show’s opening sequence was filmed!
In addition to seeing our first looks at the cast returning to the show’s signature stomping grounds and their reactions to being back on the set all these years later, the trailer treats fans to fun confessionals from the cast including memories from their first interactions and the friendships they made while filming for ten seasons together.
Also teased in the new trailer is a trivia game with the cast, the returns of several iconic characters, callbacks to some of the show’s most memorable moments and plenty of laughs! Oh, and it looks like the cast is once again weighing in on whether Ross and Rachel were truly on a break — and let’s just say not everyone is in agreement…
Is the Friends reunion scripted?
If there was any confusion as to whether the Friends reunion special was going to be scripted or unscripted, the debut trailer for Friends: The Reunion quickly confirms that the special will indeed be unscripted meaning the actors will not be slipping back into their characters’ shoes — at least not entirely.
While the special will be unscripted, the first trailer seems to suggest fans will get to see the Friends cast do more than just reminisce on the set about the show and its legacy. As seen in the trailer, the cast appears to sit down for a table read of sorts in which they revisit at least one iconic episode of the show which should be a true treat for fans!
Who’s returning for the Friends reunion?
All six core members of the cast will be returning for the Friends reunion special including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.
They’ll be joined by several special guests including James Corden — who, as seen the trailer, will be sitting down with the cast for a Q&A — as well several other special guests with a list that includes David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai.
