It’s time to say goodbye to Firehouse 51 for another season, and it looks like there are some changes happening. Don’t miss the Chicago Fire Season 9 finale.

Boden has an offer that he may not be able to refuse. It’s a chance at a promotion that could see him move up to head office. And while that would mean no longer being the chief at Firehouse 51, it opens a few doors for others.

You see, this could lead to Casey getting a promotion to chief. Even if he doesn’t, he could end up taking over the running of the firehouse as a captain, opening the door for another lieutenant on Truck 81.

That lieutenant? Well, Kidd has just passed the exam and is looking for somewhere to go to get her promotion. This could mean she would stay at Firehouse 51 in her new position. Who would then drive Truck 81?

Severide gets a call that takes his breath away on the Chicago Fire Season 9 finale

The episode will involve a few calls. That’s not surprising for the series, especially for the season finale. One of those calls is going to take Severide’s breath away.

The question is how literal this is. Could it be that he’s injured during a call? Will something happen to Kidd that makes Severide panic? There’s a lot of ways the statement in the synopsis could be taken.

What we do know is that being the Chicago Fire Season 9 finale, anything can happen. The finales usually have a major moment to close out the season, leaving everything on a cliffhanger until the next season. While Season 8 didn’t because of the abrupt ending of all shows, Season 9 can. And it’s not like we need to worry with Chicago Fire Season 10 confirmed.

Check out the promo and synopsis for the Chicago Fire Season 9 finale:

"The firehouse reacts to some exciting news, a mysterious stranger arrives and a shocking call takes Severide’s breath away."
