The Book of Boba Fett release date, cast, synopsis, and more

The Book of Boba Fett is the sole live-action Star Wars series coming to Disney+ in 2021 as The Mandalorian season 3 has been pushed into 2022.

As such, this spin-off, which already has a significant amount of hype around it, is one of the most anticipated releases for the streamer this year.

The series is set to take Star Wars fans on an adventure with the iconic Boba Fett and one of this universe’s newest fan favorite characters, Fennec Shand.

Here’s what we know about the show so far!

The Book of Boba Fett release date

The Book of Boba Fett is set to release December 2021, however, a specific date has yet to be announced.

The Book of Boba Fett cast

The only cast members to be announced for the series are Temuera Morrison reprising his role as Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen returning as Fennec Shand. There’s a rumor that Din Djarin will make an appearance in the series but that news has yet to be confirmed.

The Book of Boba Fett synopsis

An official synopsis of The Book of Boba Fett isn’t currently unavailable. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have been keeping things pretty close to the vest about the series. Other than it being a direct spin-off of The Mandalorian with Boba and Fennec as leads, fans are still waiting on more information on the show’s premise.

The last time the two were seen, they’d entered Jabba the Hut’s palace, shot those gathered around Bib Fortuna, and then killed Bib as well. In the aftermath, Boba sat on the throne that Jabba and Bib had both occupied. Where the story will go from there is anyone’s guess.

The Book of Boba Fett trailer

A trailer has yet to be released for the series, however, Wen confirmed in a recent interview that the show had finished filming. We’re thinking a first-look and a teaser trailer can’t be too far off as the December premiere will be here faster than you think.

We’ll keep you posted on more The Book of Boba Fett news as it comes in.
