10. Puncture

Original Release Date: Puncture dropped in theaters April 11, 2011.

Box Office Earnings: Okay, we don’t have good news here, Puncture didn’t do so well in theaters, even for it being released back in 2011. To be fair, though, the movie did not premiere overseas, so that didn’t help. Its box office total is $68.9 million domestically.

Critical Acclaim: At Rotten Tomatoes, Puncture has a score of 51%, so critics seem to have been divided about the movie. The majority of audiences, however, truly enjoyed the movie. No rewards or honorable mentions, though.

About the Role: Despite being ignored by the academy and other award ceremonies, Chris Evans’ role in the movie continues to be a fan favorite, and what I like to think of as an underrated role. Puncture is an independent film based on the true story of Michael David “Mike” Weiss, who started a case against hospital syringe distributors. Chris Evans plays the role of Mike Weiss.

Simply the Best:  Evans beautifully portrays the role of Weiss, making it come to life as we feel Weiss’ frustrations building a case. The movie also stars Mark Kassen, Vinessa Shaw, Brett Cullen, and others. If you haven’t seen it, check it out! With a running time of 99 minutes, you don’t have much to lose in case you don’t love it. If you’re a fan of Chris Evans, though, you’ll definitely enjoy it!
