Based on the comic books of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, the live-action series was initially titled simply, Y. There were also plans of making it a movie instead of a series. Now, it’s a confirmed series with a release date, trailer, and more!

Y: The Last Man: What is the series about?

As we mentioned, Y: The Last Man is based on the sci-fi comic book series of the same name published in 2002.

The story follows a post-apocalyptic world where all mammals with a Y chromosome are killed. All, but one, a man named Yorick Brown (Ben Schnetzer). The series will see the women and Yorick attempt to restore the world as it once was, but that’s easier said than done.

Eliza Clark, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brian K. Vaughan, Melina Matsoukas, and Mari Jo Winkler-Ioffreda are the executive producers while Nellie Reed serves as producer.

Y: The Last Man release date: Where can you watch the series?

Y: The Last Man will premiere on Sept. 13, 2021, on FX on Hulu, becoming another FX series to stream exclusively on Hulu. The first to episodes are set to arrive to the streaming platform on the premiere date.
