Trailblazer actress & activist Angelica Ross— confirmed to be returning for the 10th season of American Horror Story (titled Double Feature)— recently dropped some interesting hints about her next character on the franchise.

Making history in 2019 as the first transgender actress to secure two series regular roles, Ross went from serving ballroom realness as Candy Ferocity in FX’s Pose to playing morally ambiguous method psychologist Donna Chambers in American Horror Story: 1984, two roles created by Ryan Murphy that received acclaim from both fans & critics.

With the season premiere of American Horror Story: Double Feature fast approaching, the multi-talented actress teased her upcoming role in a new interview while promoting her latest single, Fierce.

Who is Angelica Ross playing in American Horror Story: Double Feature?

Angelica Ross spoke briefly to Windy City Times about the role of “The Chemist,” her character throughout the first 6 episodes of Double Feature

"“I am thankful to be in Ryan Murphy’s favor right now. He recognizes my talent to give me more than what I did on Pose. He is giving me more screen time and more in depth storylines. I can tell all of the writers are writing for me when I open the script. That is a wonderful thing to see.Playing The Chemist was a wild roller coaster ride. I will give you a little scoop. When it comes to the conversation of drugs, trust the chemist. I trust the chemist more than I trust the government or the pharmaceutical industry. Is she perfect? No, but I trust where she is going.”-Angelica Ross"

Little is known about The Chemist, although it’s speculated that she’s responsible for creating black pills (see poster below) which have a damaging effect (to say the least) on people – though judging by the interview snippet, perhaps her intentions are purer than we may think?
