Best Netflix movie No. 9: The Platform
As we stated above, we are mixing some big features with hidden gems. If you are searching for a movie not many have watched, but need to, Platform is the one. Be warned, though, this movie is not for the weak of heart! In fact, you need a tough stomach for this one!
The Spanish sci-fi horror, we see Goreng (Ivan Massague) wake up in a concrete cell. There are many platforms in this prison, and since food descends from the top, the higher levels get to enjoy the most. As you can imagine, only scraps are left for the middle floors and nothing for the lower levels. Goreng aims to change this system, but his situation get worse before it gets any better.
After you watch this movie, you need to head HERE for a breakdown of the finale, because it is mindblowing (in a good way? I’m not sure yet)!
Best Netflix movie No. 8: Extraction
Searching for another big feature? When it comes to movies with big names attached, it doesn’t get much larger than Chris Hemsworth. The part-time Thor, part-time action star plays Tyler Rake, a man who is always down to take on the most dangerous mission he is offered.
Tyler’s latest task is to rescue the son of an imprisoned crime lord. This is no easy rescue-mission, but Tyler doesn’t care. Because of his past, Tyler only feels alive when he is in danger. Be prepared not to take this movie too seriously, though. Tyler miraculously survives stunts he shouldn’t, but it all makes for great action sequences.
If you love the movie, rumor has it, there’s a sequel in the works! So be sure you watch Extraction in time for the upcoming movie.

The Fear Street movie series consist of three movies, Fear Street Part One: 1994, Fear Street Part Two: 1978, and Fear Street Part Three: 1666. The trilogy follows a group of teens who are being haunted by Sarah Fier, a which that’s been terrorizing the town of Shadyside for 300 years. Will the teens be able to figure out the mystery of the witch before any of them is killed?
