When Netflix decided to adapt The Baby-Sitters Club book series, fans of the series had high hopes. Thankfully, Netflix delivered and we’ve all been eagerly awaiting Season 2. Wait no longer as Netflix has released details of the upcoming season and what we can expect from our favorite group of pre-teens.

Netflix’s adaptation really seemed to hit the nail on the head. Not only did it appeal to the older fans of the original series. It also opened the door for kids to be introduced to the series and hopefully, come to love it as many young readers in the 90s and 00s did. It’s truly a testament to how talented Ann M. Martin is and how her books are still able to appeal to kids today.

As for the Netflix adaptation, the streaming service updated a few things to make it more modern but it didn’t detract from the original series. If anything, the more updated and modern take still kept the heart of the story. Even though it might be shocking for fans of the original series, it’s really nothing in the grand scheme of things. Considering how beloved the Netflix series has become, it’s clearly not a bother to everyone.

If you’ve been clamoring for Season 2 as much as I have, then don’t worry as Hidden Remote has all of the deets for you. Grab your club notebook and get ready to write down all of the important details. Here’s everything you need to know about Season 2 of The Baby-Sitters Club.

The Baby-Sitters Club Season 2 release date

According to Deadline, the release date for Season 2 is set to be October 11th. With winter creeping around the corner at that point, it’ll be nice to sit in and watch our favorite Stoneybrook residents this fall. While the release date is still a few months away, it gives us plenty of time to go back and marathon Season 1 on Netflix.

The Baby-Sitters Club Season 2 cast

In Season 2 of The Baby-Sitters Club, we’ll be seeing a few changes, especially in the cast. Variety has the scoop on who is returning and what casting changes are being made. The main cast of Sophia Grace (Kristy), Malia Baker (Mary-Anne), Momona Tamada (Claudia), and Shay Rudolph (Stacey) are all returning. However, Kyndra Sanchez is replacing Xochitl Gomez as Dawn in Season 2.

Additionally, the club is growing by adding Jessi (Anais Lee) and Mallory (Vivian Watson.) We’ll also see Alicia Silverstone, Mark Feuerstein, and Marc Evan Jackson all reprising their roles. It’s not many changes, but definitely worth noting.

The Baby-Sitters Club Season 2 trailer

At this point, Netflix has not released a trailer yet. However, they have released some stills on Twitter to hold us over until they do.

The Baby-Sitters Club Season 2 synopsis

Variety once again has the scoop with showrunner Rachel Shukert filling us in with some info about Season 2: “There are two new members, they’re all a year older and have more experience running a business, deeper friendships and are growing into a deeper understanding of themselves as people…We also wanted to continue exploring themes that allow all young viewers to see themselves represented on screen, while also dealing obliquely with many of the things we’ve all been through in the past year: loss, change, responsibility, and trying to find joy and meaning in unexpected places. I’m so excited for everyone to be back in Stoneybrook and back in business”

While it doesn’t include much, all episode titles were released as well so it should give us a clue into what the season will entail:

  • Episode 201: “Kristy and the Snobs”
  • Episode 202: “Claudia and the New Girl”
  • Episode 203: “Stacey’s Emergency”
  • Episode 204: “Jessi and the Superbrat”
  • Episode 205: “Mary Anne and the Great Romance”
  • Episode 206: “Dawn and the Wicked Stepsister”
  • Episode 207: “Claudia and the Sad Goodbye”
  • Episode 208: “Kristy and the Baby Parade”

At this point, it seems like Season 2 is bound to be a lot of fun and keep the same funny yet slightly serious tone it can take on at times.
