One movie we’re all looking forward to this Halloween season is A24’s horror drama, Lamb. When is the movie coming out? Below, we share the Lamb movie trailer, the cast, synopsis, and more!

When A24 released the trailer for Lamb, they quickly captured all of our attention. Let’s just say, we’re all equal parts confused and frightened. Simply put, we don’t know what’s going on, but we can’t wait to find out.

A24 movies are not for everyone, but to the right audience (Hidden Remote included) they are masterpieces! Midsommar, Hereditary, The Lighthouse, Uncut Gems, Lady Bird… just to name a few of some of the most talked about movies.

Also, Noomi Rapace and A24? Yes, please! The movie trailer gives us supernatural horror vibes, with a splash of drama and even comedy. Listen, when it comes to A24, we just don’t know what to expect.

Lamb movie release date

The movie will be in theaters on Oct. 8, 2021. At the time of this writing, there are no plans to delay its release, but we’ll keep you posted if anything changes. This is also set as a movie theater exclusive, so there’s no streaming plan for it just yet. However, the movie will likely be available via VOD a few weeks after its release.

The movie stars Noomi Rapace as Maria and Snær Guðnason as Ingvar. Björn Hlynur Haraldsson also stars.

Lamb movie synopsis: What is Lamb about?

The movie follows a childless couple living in rural Iceland who make an “alarming discovery” on their sheep barn one day. The official also shares that the couple will “face the consequences of defying the will of nature, in this dark and atmospheric folktale.”

In the trailer, which you can check out below, we see Maria (Rapace) visiting a grave, so the couple may have lost a child before, perhaps early in its life. Could this be why they are raising the baby lamb?
