What is Impeachment: American Crime Story about?
The 10-episode season follows the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal just as it’s about to break, it is based on the book A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President, by Jeffrey Toobin.
The cast includes Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky, Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones, Margo Martindale as Lucianne Goldberg, Edie Falco as Hillary Clinton, and
Clive Owen as President Bill Clinton.
Impeachment: American Crime Story episode 1 synopsis
Episode 1 is titled “Exiles,” and we’ll see White House staffer Linda Tripp move to The Pentagon after the death of her boss, where she meets Monica Lewisky. Events quickly escalate as Paula Jones decides to sue the President for sexual harassment.
