It’s finally arrived, Lucifans! Lucifer season 6 is now streaming on Netflix and fans have…feelings. Let’s just say, not everyone is happy about how Deckerstar was handled. Spoiler alert!

Before you read on, know that spoilers are ahead! Watch the final season of Lucifer first and then come back.

Final seasons are always tricky. Whether a show ends abruptly or is given a final season, like Lucifer, it’s still nearly impossible to please all fans, especially those as passionate about the series as Lucifer‘s fan base.

Ever since Lucifer was resurrected by Netflix, its fan base has multiplied in numbers each season. Needless to say, it’s one of the most popular shows on the streaming platform. Fans are sad Lucifer season 6 is the final chapter, but knowing this in advanced, were hopeful that the creators would give each character a decent finale.

Well, they tried! How did they do? That really depends on each fan. How do you feel about the finale? Does the final season check all the boxes on your wishlist? Not all boxes will ever be checked, for any show, but here are a few I noticed on social media that were high on everyone’s Lucifer season 6 list:

  • For Maze and Eve to stay together
  • A Deckerstar wedding
  • A Deckerstar baby
  • For Ella to find love again
  • For Chloe and Lucifer to get a happily ever after

The last one here is a-must, of course, which is why some fans are upset. DO Lucifer and Chloe get a happily ever after? Sort of, but it came with a high price, and it’s certainly not the one most of us were hoping for.

What happens to Chloe and Lucifer in Lucifer season 6?

There’s no Deckerstar wedding, which, okay, I understand. Rory is Lucifer and Chloe’s daughter, so we do get to see a Deckerstar baby, but Lucifer doesn’t get to raise Rory or even be with her, which is part of the reason some fans are upset.

In the end, Lucifer goes back to Hell to help lost souls find their way to Heaven. He isn’t able to travel back and forth like before, so the choice wasn’t easy. But being Hell’s healer was what Lucifer was meant to do, something he realized thanks to Rory.

While that’s understandable, it doesn’t mean it’s any less depressing. This means Chloe raised Rory and Trixie alone. I can only imagine how sad and difficult this must’ve been for Chloe. After Dan’s death, many fans were hoping to see Lucifer fill in his shows as Trixie’s father figure.

To make matters worse, on Chloe’s death bed, she’s is accompanied only by Rory. Where are her friends? Where’s Trixie? We’re glad Chloe lived a long life, but it seems like a lonely death.

After passing, Chloe reunites with Lucifer. So, at the end of the day, Lucifer and Chloe do get to be together, I only wish it hadn’t been after Chloe’s death, but while she was alive on Earth.

I do love Lucifer season 6 for all the great moments it gave us! There’s plenty of Deckerstar sweetness, we witness Maze and Eve’s incredible wedding, Ella finds the perfect guy for her, and Dan is finally at peace. If this is how things had to be for Lucifer and Chloe, then I’m happy for them. They now have an eternity to spend together.
