Riverdale season 5, episode 16 “Chapter Ninety-Two: Band of Brothers” is going to be an interesting next step into the season coming off the heels of the fabulous return of Josie and the Pussycats in episode 15.

Their light, however, has come and gone through the town of pep, so we will be returning to the darkness that season 5 has been exploring since the time jump. But there is hope at the end of this tunnel as “Chapter Ninety: The Night Gallery” made clear. It’s just uncertain how we’ll be getting there.

Breadcrumbs have been left by Cheryl’s stories to Minerva about Jughead, Betty, Archie, and herself given the fourth painting she displayed. If we’re to take those revelations as clues for what happens next, then it’s safe to assume Jughead will be making his way out of his darkness soon.

What is Riverdale season 5, episode 16 about?

“Chapter Ninety-Two: Band of Brothers” will see Jughead beginning to work his steps for recovery and part of that is apologizing to the people he’s hurt due to his drinking.

Presumably that means Bughead shippers are in for a much needed scene between the two to resolve the tension that lies between them due to the voice message Jughead left on Betty’s phone.

She, however, is going to be preoccupied by her continued efforts to locate Polly or at least her remains. How? By going undercover as a sex worker who entertains Johns that pick her up on the highway. Once more into darkness she goes with Archie right behind considering we’ll also be diving back into his PTSD arc in episode 16.

Though, like Jughead, Archie maybe headed toward lighter times as he’ll be talking to his uncle Frank some more about his time in The War after he receives news about his former CO.

Elsewhere, Veronica will be dealing with Chad (who no one has missed) and his latest scheme to undermine her as Kevin and Cheryl work to take the reins at the Church of Jason Blossom. Bees will somehow be involved for added drama because this is Riverdale.
