Seeing the cast of Friends again in the HBO Max reunion was like magic! From the nostalgia to the happy feels seeing how much love there is between the cast. They are real friends and we love that about them! However, doing this reunion wasn’t easy, Jennifer Aniston shares.

In a recent episode of Literally! With Rob LoweJennifer Aniston revealed that the reunion episode was “brutal” and took everyone by surprise.

While chatting with the host, Aniston explains how the Friends reunion took a heavy toll on her and her former co-stars, sharing that reliving those moments “really took us all down way harder than we anticipated.”

Honestly, I’m surprised, but now that I think about it, this makes perfect sense.

"“In your mind, you think, ‘Oh, this will be really fun to time travel. It turns out, ooh, ouch, it’s kind of hard to time travel, Aniston said.”"

Jennifer Aniston shares the Friends reunion took a toll on the cast

The Friends sitcom was a significant and unforgettable time in their lives. They bonded, made forever lasting friendships, sure, but they also had many downs. That mixture of ups and downs is heavy is a tough road to jump back to. Not to mention, it had been a long time since all co-stars were all together.

In the interview, Aniston continued to explain how surreal everything was. The fact that everything on the set was the same, down to the shelves, but the cast was not the same, was a heavy feeling.

Aniston also compared working on Friends to taking a “happy pill” every day she was on set. Love that! But also, I can see how those feelings were tough to take in after so many years.

Everyone on set was in tears, overwhelmed with emotions, well almost everyone.

"“There was a period where we were all kind of in a puddle. Maybe David didn’t, I don’t think we broke David.”"

Who would’ve thought David Schwimmer (Ross) would be the tough one! I assumed Matthew Perry (Chandler) was the robot!
