During Station 19 Season 5’s premiere, Andy made it clear that she was only staying married for her dad’s memory. Did she file for divorce in Episode 2?

Andy stuck by her husband through his drug addiction. To be honest, that wasn’t surprising. Sullivan’s drug addiction did connect to a very real problem in the world that a lot of first responders understand. There is a major opioid crisis.

However, when it came to Sullivan trying to push his way back up the ladder, she couldn’t forgive him. Andy blames him for Maya losing her position as captain and for her being transferred to another firehouse. Granted, some of the issue was Andy’s own fault and her inability to think before she acts, but it wouldn’t have happened had she not already known that Sullivan tried to get his position as captain back.

She hadn’t filed for divorce in the Station 19 Season 5 premiere, and she admitted that it was because her marriage was the last thing that kept her father’s memory alive. That isn’t the case, though. She’s the think that keeps his memory alive.

Andy and Sullivan are getting a divorce on Station 19 Season 5

During Station 19 Season 5, Episode 2, we found out exactly what Andy had decided to do. She filed for divorce.

Sullivan got the papers during a shift in front of everyone. Understandably, he’s angry about that, even though it’s not Andy’s fault when the papers were actually filed to him. She had her lawyer handle it and couldn’t control the timing.

Sullivan started to put up a fight during the premiere. He was sure that not filing for divorce for months meant something. However, he got a rude awakening and now he needs to decide what he’s going to do next. Is he going to fight against the divorce or just give Andy what she wants knowing she doesn’t have much respect for him anymore?
