Why is Ted Lasso season 1 not on DVD?

Ted Lasso season 2 is over, yet the first season is still not available on DVD. When (if ever) will the Apple TV+ hit comedy-drama ever be available on Blu-ray/DVD or On Demand?
When a season to a series ends, it’s usually available on disc (or On Demand, or both) a few months after. This isn’t always true when it comes to shows on streaming services, though. Netflix, for example, has some of its hit shows on disc, but not all of them.
Why not all? Well, you would think it’s good for business, but that’s not always the case. Think about it, the way to get more subscribers is to make your shows so exclusive, that potential viewers have to get an account to check it out.
Apparently, this is Apple TV+‘s mentality.
When is Ted Lasso season 1 on Blu-ray or DVD?
Even though Ted Lasso season 1 has long been over and season 2 is over now, the streaming platform has no plans on releasing Ted Lasso on any disc or On Demand.
Will this change? Maybe! Maybe not! For Apple TV+ to keep offering exclusive content to its subscribers, they need to remain exclusive, which means no DVDs or discs of any kids. However, perhaps first seasons should go on disc. I believe this is a way to capture more interest.
When is Ted Lasso season 3 coming out?
The first two seasons of Ted Lasso are now streaming on Apple TV+. As soon as we learn more about when season 3 is coming out, we’ll let you know!
Which shows would you like to see on Blu-ray/DVD? On my list is Ted Lasso for sure, as well as The Morning Show, See, Servant, and a few others. One of the great things about owning disc copies of our favorite shows are the special features, the art, and just knowing we’ll always have it.
