We knew that Kate Walsh was returning, but we didn’t know when. Well, it turns out that it’s tonight’s episode. Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery is back walking the halls of Grey Sloan Memorial, and she’s going to give the residents a shock.
The promo sees her comment on the lack of knowledge the residents have. Webber did come to their defense a couple of episodes ago, but he needs to whip them into shape. He needs to make the residency program the best in the country again, and bringing Addison back, even just for a short time, should help with that.
Why is Addison actually back on Grey’s Anatomy Season 18, Episode 3?
Addison is there for a medical surgery, and it’s not going all that smoothly. She’s going to need Meredith’s help. When the air con stops working, it means her patient is at risk of infection. The air can’t be cleared out, so she needs someone to help close her patient up quickly.
The only person to do that is Meredith. This is certainly going to be interesting considering their history. However, there is a lot of water under the bridge now. Meredith was the “other woman” for a while, but Addison has moved on and gained a great life away from Derek. Can the two work together for the sake of a patient?
Meanwhile, Link turns to Teddy for some advice. He’s wallowing over Amelia turning down his proposal—she didn’t say she didn’t love him, but that she just doesn’t want to get married and I’m totally on board with that. Will Teddy help Link see sense in Amelia’s decisions?
