When you’re an actor playing a role for years, it’s normal to get sentimental about set props and protective over the cast and crew. For Friends star Courteney Cox, she still has an attachment to the New York City apartment her character Monica Geller lived in. We can’t blame her!

In a fun video posted to her Instagram page this week, as reported by the New York Post, Cox got super protective over the real-life Greenwich Village apartment which was used for exterior shots on the beloved sitcom.

While promoting her upcoming movie Scream with her co-star Melissa Barrera, Cox staged a funny confrontation after Barrera pretended to live in the iconic apartment. In the quick skit, the two acted as they’ve just run into each other on the street, with Cox happily greeting Barrera.

But once Barrera claimed she’s heading home and pointed to the New York City apartment, Cox pretended to be agitated. “This is off-limits,” the actress said. Check out the fun video below!

Though this skit isn’t serious, we’d understand if Cox was a bit protective of the place, located at 90 Bedford St. It represents years of Monica’s life with Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) and can be recognized by people across the globe.

As we mentioned, only exterior shots of the real-life apartment were used on Friends, however. The interior shots were actually filmed on sets in Los Angeles, California.

Cox received so many heartfelt comments on the video, and it’s received over 680,000 likes and counting. “For someone who loves binge-watching FRIENDS every night, I love content like this,” one fan commented, while another added, “Favorite person [heart emoji]. Favorite Place.”

The nostalgia of heading back to the Friends apartment is really tugging at fans’ heartstrings and we hope to get more of it!
