The live TV ratings were a little mixed on Friday, Oct. 22. Here’s a look at how all our favorite shows performed, including SWAT and Nancy Drew.

FOX took the top spot in the demo during the night. The WWE Friday Night SmackDown episode pulled in a 0.5 demo rating. The audience wasn’t at the top, though.

It shouldn’t be surprising to hear that Blue Bloods took the top spot in the audience, and that was with a 2% decrease. Magnum PI was a little behind it and SWAT was behind that.

While all the CBS dramas were down in both the demo and audience (Magnum PI was steady in the demo), I don’t think there’s any reason to worry. They all took the top spots in their timeslots.

Nancy Drew up in the live TV ratings

Nancy Drew is the CW show we’re most concerned about. While Penn & Teller: Fool Us was down, the show is one of the cheapest options and remains a staple for reruns. There’s no doubt that one will be renewed.

There’s a chance that Nancy Drew will also be renewed. It was up 66% in the demo and 23% in the total audience. In fact, it was one of just two shows that saw upward ticks on Friday.

Dateline was the other show to see upward ticks. This is a show that sees regular up and down ticks depending on the topic of the episode. It’s a staple for NBC so there’s no doubt the series will be renewed.

20/20 will also likely be renewed despite the 9% dip in the demo and 2% dip in the audience. It’s one of the cheaper programs to put on the air. What about Shark Tank? While the demo dropped 25% and the audience was down 5%, I think we’ll see the show renewed. It remains just behind the CBS dramas on a Friday, which is a great sign.

Home Sweet Home is the concerning series. It was down 4% in the demo and 4% in the audience, putting in the lowest numbers except for The CW shows (which are always on the low side). However, this show has only just started so it needs to stabilize first.
