Last season on All American, Coop’s rap career was picking up steam thanks to her talent and Layla’s skill as both a producer and a manager. There was just one thorn in her side, Mo Moore.

The woman’s reappearance in town was suspect to Coop. As it would be considering Coop’s twisting and fatal relationship with Mo’s brother, Tyrone. While Coop wasn’t the one to kill him, her beef with Tyrone was widely known and she still hasn’t been able to shake people’s belief that she was involved in his death in some capacity.

As such Mo was out for revenge though she kept that part hidden from everyone else, choosing instead to give the appearance that she wasn’t out to get Coop. In the season 3 finale, however, Mo shot Coop and in the process got shot herself by Preach.

Given how much Coop was bleeding, did she die in the All American season 4 premiere, “Survival of the Fittest,” here’s what we know!

What happens to Coop in the All American season 4 premiere?

Spoilers ahead for the All American season 4 premiere

It was touch-and-go for a bit there in the flashbacks detailing what happened that fateful night but it wasn’t Coop that lost her life. It was Mo.

While viewers probably guessed that Coop lived thanks to the lack of utter devastation in Patience and Spencer, it was still clear that something wasn’t right due to his wavering over going to Toledo State. Turns out, Coop fell into a coma after the life-saving surgery she under went.

She does wake up three days later to the relief of her loved ones, however, Coop once again stirs up trouble for herself just moments after she comes to.

Earlier in the episode, Patience had been berating herself for not believing Coop when she said that Mo couldn’t be trusted. But her guilty immediately evaporates once her girlfriend decides to lie to the police about how events unfolded.

Coop said she shot Mo because Preach is on parole and can’t be wrapped up in a murder investigation. Angered by her decision, Patience says that Coop is the one who keeps putting herself back into situations that’ll mess up her life, and she’s tired of it.

The decision Coop made to save Preach could have dire consequences in season 4 not only in terms of her freedom but also when it comes to her relationship with Patience.
