It was a night of new content across the board on Sunday, Oct. 24. How did our favorite shows fare in the live TV ratings? Let’s take a look.

Sundays can be a mixed night when it comes to the ratings. It can depend on which network has the Sunday afternoon football, and it depends on whether something else is happening in the world.

It shouldn’t be surprising to hear that the Sunday Night Football on NBC won the night. That’s never surprising.

CBS had the Sunday afternoon game, which meant positive results for the shows on the network. This is two weeks in a row, so the upward ticks weren’t as good as last Sunday’s results, but they’re still positive.

It is worth looking at The CW before we get into the main networks. Killer Camp was removed from the schedule after just two episodes. I didn’t think the show would be renewed, but I didn’t think it would get pulled from the schedule. The reruns of Masters of Illusion did perform better than new episodes of Killer Campwhich gives us an idea of why The CW decided this.

Legends of the Hidden Temple was up in both the demo and audience. I can see this series being renewed.

The Equalizer up, Supermarket Sweep down in the live TV ratings

CBS had a good night. While 60 Minutes was down, that’s not a concern. The show is up and down based on the topic. What’s interesting is that The Equalizer was up by 1% in the demo and by 2% in the audience despite 60 Minutes being down. This is a great sign, and I’m sure we’ll see a renewal.

NCIS: LA was down in the demo and steady in the audience. I’m on the fence about this series, mostly because CBS made the surprise decision to cancel NCIS: New Orleans last year. LA is the top performer of the timeslot, but is that enough to keep it on the air?

SEAL Team was up 2% in the demo and 12% in the total audience. This is a great result for a Sunday night. There’s one more episode on CBS before it moves to Paramount+ exclusively.

The Simpson was up 13% in the demo and audience. It’s not surprising this show has already been renewed. The other animated shows on FOX weren’t as good, but I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. These shows are staples for FOX and I’m sure we’ll see Great NorthBob’s Burgers, and Family Guy renewed. They’re great for syndication and reruns.

ABC had a night of game shows and a rerun instead of a new episode of The Rookie. The game shows were down, with Supermarket Sweep down a worrying 30% in the demo. These shows are cheaper to make than scripted shows, but they still need to pull in good results. They do hold up against Animation Domination on FOX, so there is a good sign that both Supermarket Sweep and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune will be renewed.

Queens got a rerun. The ratings weren’t great, but that’s common for reruns when up against new episodes of other shows. It means little right now and we’ll need to see if it pulls in viewers for Tuesday’s new episode.
