Matthew Perry’s Friends character, Chandler Bing, is arguably the funniest of the bunch! From the one-liners to his sarcasm, no one made us laugh more than Mr. Bing. But, outside of the set, Matthew’s life has been a rollercoaster.

Recently, we put together a quick list of movies and shows the cast of Friends have coming up. Matthew captured our hearts as Chandler Bing and we didn’t know how much we missed the cast until they all reunited for HBO Max’s Friends: The Reunion.

However, as we put the list of projects the cast has coming up, we learned that Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry don’t have any upcoming movies or shows, but now we know why Perry doesn’t — he’s been busy with his autobiography!

According to Deadline, the Friends star is working on an autobiography that will give fans a look inside the private life and career of the actor. This is the first memoir from the cast of Friends.

It’s no secret that Matthew Perry is a very private person, but the book will “lift the lid” on his life, the source reports. In the book, Matthew won’t only be sharing behind-the-scenes details from his time on Friends, but also open up about his struggles with addition. As the source shares, the book is very candid and told in Matthew’s trademark humor.

When can you buy Friends star Matthew Perry’s autobiography?

The source shares that Flatiron Books won the rights to the book in an auction, giving Matthew a “mid-seven figure” deal. Megan Lynch, a publisher of Flatiron Books, will edit. Lynch shares:

"“We need humor, we need catharsis, and we need to agree on something–and Matthew’s extraordinary story, told in his inimitable voice, is that thing. Matthew’s book has unrivaled potential to bring people together, which feels especially galvanizing right now, a time of isolation and division.”"

The autobiography doesn’t have a title yet (if it does, it haven’t been announced), but we do know that fans can expect the book sometime in fall 2022. Of course, as soon as we learn an official release date, we’ll keep you posted!
