Max and Helen have skipped over a few conversations in the world of dating on New Amsterdam Season 4. One of those is what Luna will call Helen.
At the start of the recent episode, Max and Helen have admitted they’ve rushed a few things. They’ve gone from being colleagues to moving to London together. It’s been a huge change, and they’ve missed a few conversations.
Max brought up one of those conversations. What will Luna called Helen? “Helen” lacks that “something special” for what she’ll be in Luna’s life. After all, Helen is going to be like a mother to Luna.
What about “Mommy?” Helen points out that Georgia is Luna’s “Mommy,” so that is out of the question. It doesn’t matter that Luna has never met Georgia. Georgia will always be kept alive through Max’s stories, and Luna needs to know who her biological mom was.
Max figures out a name for Helen on New Amsterdam
The conversation is cut short with an ambulance crash that makes Max think of Georgia even more. It was a similar accident that led to Georgia’s death, meaning she couldn’t be a mom to Luna.
However, Max revisits the conversation at the end of the episode. He figures out a name for Helen.
What do the British call their mommies? “Mum.” It makes sense to work with this since Helen is British and does call her own mom “Mum.” So, Luna copies the name. That’s the name for her to call Helen from this point.
What does Helen think? She has a big smile and tears in her eyes at the end of the episode. It looks like Helen loves it.
Doesn’t this feel more and more like the move to London is actually going to happen on New Amsterdam?
