It was a full night of new episodes across all broadcast networks on Monday, Nov. 1. Here’s a look at how the live TV ratings fared.

If there are two shows we expect to be renewed it’s The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. The unscripted shows are cheaper than scripted to create, and they remain the top shows of the night in the demo. They’re even high in the total audience.

The Voice was joint top in the demo with 9-1-1 on FoX just behind it. That was despite an 11% drop in the demo. It’s total audience was 8% down and just behind NCISDancing with the Stars was steady in both the demo and total audience, making it clear it’s going to be renewed.

4400 and The Big Leap up, NCIS down in the live TV ratings

Two shows saw upward ticks in both the audience and the demo. 4400 was up 100% in the demo and 27% in the audience. This is after the series premiere, which is very unusual. It’s certainly an excellent sign for the future of the series. The great results during the premiere had me convinced this series would be renewed. This upward tick for the second episode convinces me even more.

The Big Leap was up 66% in the demo and 34% in the audience. I’m still expecting to hear that this series will be canceled. It’s just not performing all that well after its 9-1-1 lead-in.

Speaking of 9-1-1, I expect this show to be renewed. The show may have ticked down 7% in the total audience, but it’s still one of the top shows of the night. it’s also the top scripted show on FOX.

All American Season 4 saw a 13% downward tick in the demo, but it was 19% up in the audience. This is a show that’s guaranteed a fifth season at this rate.

CBS had a mixed night. It started with The Neighborhood falling 10% in the demo but remaining steady in the audience. Bob Hearts Abishola was also down in both the demo and audience. I’m sure we’ll see the two shows renewed, though. They’re still strong comedies on the network.

NCIS was down 3% in the demo and 7% in the audience. It remains the top show in the audience on Mondays, though. If the show can stabilize soon without Mark Harmon as Gibbs permanently around, I think we’ll see it renewed. Likewise, I’m sure NCIS: Hawaii will be renewed despite its 7% dip in the total audience. It was up 4% in the demo and it was the top show of the timeslot.

After the unscripted shows, NBC and ABC aired new episodes of Ordinary Joe and The Good Doctor respectively. Ordinary Joe was down a little, but it was one of those flashback episodes to show how Joe made the decisions he did. It wasn’t all that necessary, in my opinion, and that could explain the dip. We may see a tick-up when the main story returns.

The Good Doctor was up 21% in the demo but down 2% in the audience. I don’t think the numbers are a concern. It’s going to be renewed on the live TV ratings alone. The question is whether Freddie Highmore will stick with the series. Without him, there is no series.
