The 2021 Countdown to Christmas keeps rolling along on the Hallmark Channel and in this week’s Gingerbread Miracle, Merritt Patterson (Christmas at the Palace, A Royal Winter) is back in a heartwarming story about a magical bakery that holds lots of memories for everyone in the community.
What to expect in Gingerbread Miracle on Hallmark Channel
Patterson plays Maya, a freelance attorney who utilizes Casillas Panaderia as her office space after a few setbacks led her to move home and live in the apartment above the garage in her childhood home.
Maya grew up working in the bakery with her high school crush Alex (Jon Ecker), and everyone in the community believes that their gingerbread cookies are very, very special. Now Alex’s uncle needs Maya’s help putting the bakery up for sale, and that means Alex is coming home to celebrate the holidays one last time in a place that’s so important to him and his family. It’s hard enough to know that the bakery is up for sale, but when he discovers Maya there, it changes everything.
Seeing Maya again triggers lots of old memories, but can they work together to sell the bakery or will their past make working together an impossible task?
