Hocus Pocus 2: Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and SJP stun in first look image

Disney+ Day is set to be chock full of announcements and releases but there’s been one drop of news that gave just a taste of what’s to come from the highly anticipated 2022 movie, Hocus Pocus 2, and it involves a first look image.

Fans of the original will be reunited with the Sanderson sisters in a whole new wicked adventure come next year. Don’t worry, this isn’t a reboot. Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker are reprising their roles for a revival not a redo of the modern classic that’s firmly cemented its place as a Halloween staple.

They’ll be taking us back to the sleepy town of Salem, Massachusetts as the Sanderson sisters are awakened yet again, this time by a trio of young women.

While we don’t know what’s set to go down in what’s likely to be a power struggle for the ages, we can’t wait to see what the Sandersons have up their sleeves. They put a spell on us in the ’90s, so we wonder what they’ll do next in this century.

However, what we don’t have to wonder about any longer is what Winifred, Mary, and Sarah will look like in Hocus Pocus 2.

Disney+ went the classic route with the trio. Their wardrobe remains as iconic as them. It’s a stunning image not because the movie has shaken things up with their looks but because of the nostalgic power imbued in seeing the trio once again about to launch into some deliciously fun wickedness.

Hocus Pocus 2 release date

We’ll have to wait until fall 2022 to see the Sandersons rise again, but we’re sure it’ll be well worth the wait especially if they make their return in time for Disney+’s Halloweenstream. There’s nothing like a good witchy movie to ring the holiday season in!
