Friday, Nov. 12 saw new episodes of everything throughout the night. How did the live TV ratings fare? Here’s a look at all the shows for the night.

FOX has a night of sports, which is customary now. It aired a new episode of WWE’s SmackDown, which matched ABC’s Shark Tank and 20/20 for the highest demo of the night. It’s 2 million viewers was nowhere near the top spot, though.

ABC had a good night. It was the only network that saw both the audience and demo increase for one show (all others were mixed). 20/20 was up 45% in the demo and 21% in the audience. It’s normal for 20/20 to be up and down, so I’m sure the show is going to be renewed. It’s a Friday night staple.

Likewise, I’m expecting Shark Tank to be renewed. Yes, the demo was down 16% and the audience was down 12%, but they were both still strong for the night. The audience was fourth of the night behind the CBS dramas.

SWAT down, Nancy Drew mixed in the live TV ratings

Speaking of CBS, it did win the night in the audience. Blue Bloods was down 7% in the audience and down 13% in the demo, but still strong. There’s no doubt that as long as the main cast signs on for another year, this show is getting renewed.

SWAT was down 18% in the demo and 5% in the audience but still started the night strong. Magnum PI was down 7% in the demo and 6% in the audience, but again, still strong. There’s no need for CBS to cancel the shows with these numbers, but I am concerned about SWAT‘s move to Sundays.

The CW had a mixed night. Penn & Teller: Fool Us was up 11% in the demo and steady in the audience. Meanwhile, Nancy Drew was down 100% in the demo but up 17% in the audience. I’m sure the first show is going to be renewed. It’s a great staple and good for reruns. I think Nancy Drew will be renewed, but possibly for a final season.

NBC also had a mixed night. The Wall was down 6% in the demo but up 10% in the audience. I don’t worry too much about this as unscripted shows are cheaper than scripted to make, so we’ll likely see it renewed.

Dateline was up 14% in the demo and down 6% in the audience. Like 20/20, the metrics can fluctuate each week. It all depends on the topic. It is still a popular show, and I’m sure it will be renewed.
