CBS took a night off new episodes of its usual shows to show an Adele concert. Meanwhile, FOX saw its Animation Domination lineup fall in the live TV ratings.

CBS didn’t utilize the Sunday afternoon game to drive up the ratings of its usual programming. While there was a new episode of 60 Minutes, which was up 189% in the demo and 66% in the audience (it’s getting renewed), the network had a special on. Adele One Night Only pulled in a good number of viewers and was arguably a good decision. It had 9.59 million viewers and a 1.5 demo rating.

Of course, it wasn’t enough to win the night. NBC did that with Sunday Night Football, pulling in 13.5 million viewers and a 3.6 demo rating.

Animation Domination fell in the live TV ratings

It shouldn’t be surprising to learn that The Simpsons and the rest of the Animation Domination lineup fell. After all, the previous week FOX had a Sunday afternoon game, which naturally pushes up the ratings.

The drop for The Simpsons is nothing to worry about as the series has already been renewed. I also don’t think it’s anything FOX will be worried about when it comes to the other shows. The ups and downs are normal this time of the year.

The CW had a good night with Legends of the Hidden Temple. The demo was up 66%, but the audience was up an impressive 143%. I’ve already said it before, but I do expect a renewal for this eries.

ABC started the night with unscripted programming that saw mixed results. I don’t think there’s too much to worry about. The one show out of the lot that I am concerned about is Supermarket Sweep. The demo was up 14% but the audience was down another 3%. ABC could go either way with this one.

The Rookie is the scripted show on Sundays I’m most concerned about. The demo was steady, but the audience was down another 7%. It’s not faring too well this season, and we could see it canceled if ABC thinks there’s something stronger that could take its place.
