Most of us remember the movie Ice Age and Ice Age: The Meltdown, but did you know the Ice Age franchise has a total of five movies and a sixth one in the works? When is The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild coming out? What is The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild about?

I’m not sure if I lost interest along the way or why I didn’t keep up with the Ice Age franchise, but I had no idea there were five movies until Disney announced the upcoming sixth movie. What about you? Which one from the series is your favorite?

What are all the Ice Age movies?

There are a total of six movies (the sixth one still to come), here they are:

• Ice Age (2002)
• Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006)
• Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009)
• Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012)
• Ice Age: Collision Course (2016)
• The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (2022)

The movies are available to stream where you rent movies (so yes, you do have to pay to watch), such as Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, Vudu and more.

The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild release date

Unlike most of the shows and movies Disney+ teased, Disney actually did give us a date to look forward to! The movie will stream on the platform on Jan. 28, 2022. It’ll only stream on Disney+, not theaters.

Slash Film shares that Simon Pegg will voice Buck, but we’re not sure who else will return. We’re hoping Ray Romano returns as Manny. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we learn more.

The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild synopsis

The movie will follow the adventures (or misadventures) of Buck the weasel (Simon Pegg). Here’s the official synopsis from Disney:

"The fearless one-eyed weasel Buck teams up mischievous possum brothers Crash and Eddie as they head off on a new adventure into Buck’s home: The Dinosaur World."
