It’s time to get more of the new interns. We only briefly saw them in a previous episode and then the focus moved back to Conrad returning to Chastain. Now it’s time to see the interns in action.

We know that Trevor is struggling with becoming a doctor. Chastain was the last place he wanted to do his internship, but it was the only place that would take him. And the only reason he got in was because Billie—although he things AJ—wrote him a recommendation.

Conrad is going to make sure this young man succeeds. The best way to do that is to take Trevor under his wing, but will it be something he ends up regretting?

Devon and Kit face too much paperwork on The Resident Season 5, Episode 9

Meanwhile, we’ll get to see more of Kit and Devon in their roles. They don’t get to do their jobs the way they used to anymore, and it’s all linked to the amount of paperwork they have to do.

It’s not just going to be paperwork, though. They are being pulled in every direction, and it’s not going to help with the multiple patients coming into the ER at once due to a collision. This could end up bringing some memories up for Conrad considering Nic’s death was a collision thanks to her avoiding a deer.

Then we’ve got Bell, who struggles with his hands in the OR. He turns to Conrad for confidentiality while he figures out what’s going on.
