When is the Succession season 3 finale?

It feels like yesterday that we were still counting down the days until Succession season 3 premiered on HBO, and now we’re almost at the finale. There’s been no shortage of familial drama this time around, as expected, and it’s still Logan Roy (Brian Cox) vs Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) as we go into episode 8 tonight.

In episode 7, Kendall hosted an extravagant (and honestly, pretty tacky) party to celebrate his 40th birthday party, which turned into a hot mess in the end when he realized his siblings attended with ulterior motives and his dad was trying to buy him out of the company for a cool $2 million. Casual.

We’re on the edge of our seats waiting to find out what’ll happen next in episode 8, but until then, you might want to prepare for the end of Succession season 3.

Succession season 3 finale date

While Succession season 1 and season 2 both have 10 episodes each, Succession season 3 is ending with just nine. We’re not sure why, but that means the finale is coming up quick! You can watch the conclusion on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 9:00 p.m.

It’s only a matter of time before Kendall and his sister Shiv Roy (Sarah Snook), who was excluded from Logan’s buyout plan, snap. Based on the name of episode 8, “Chiantishire,” we can expect some of the family members to head out to Italy for what’s bound to be a hectic trip.

As for what’s new for our favorite duo, Greg Hirsch (Nicholas Braun) and Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen)? Tom is still on a high after finding out he likely won’t be sent to prison, and Greg is in a pretty great place as well, having asked out Kendall’s PR consultant, Comfry.

Succession was renewed for season 4, so we’re expecting the finale to end with another cliffhanger. And we won’t get into spoilers here, but critics on Twitter are seriously hyping up episode 8. If that’s any indication, the finale should exceed any expectations.
