Jennifer Aniston reveals why she walked out of the Friends reunion

For fans, watching the Friends reunion on HBO Max was magical. For the cast? Not so much! Jennifer Aniston isn’t the only one who has spoken out about how depressing the experience was. In a recent interview, Jennifer reveals she walked out of filming, and more than once. Here’s why!
It has been a while since Friends: The Reunion premiered, but the cast is still sharing how that whole experience wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows.
Just Jared shares that, in a recent interview, Jennifer spoke about walking out of filming Friends: The Reunion “several times.” Sure there were tears shared on set as the cast recalled their time filming, but we assumed these were all happy tears. There were also smiles and hugs shared. And laughs! But behind the scenes? What we didn’t get to see? Not such a great time.
Why did Jennifer Aniston walk out of Friends: The Reunion set?
In the interview, Jennifer talks about how “time travel” is hard and her and the others were naive walking into it. They assumed it would be a great old time. What could go wrong? Well, Jennifer opens up about how no one considered the rush of memories that would come with it all.
Jennifer tells the source:
"“…you get there and it’s like, ‘Oh right, I hadn’t thought about what was going on the last time I was actually here.”"
Even though Jennifer didn’t go into specifics as to what, exactly, was going on in her mind, we can pretty much guess. Being back with her Friends co-stars in the set that looks exactly like where they used to work brought back sad memories. Who knows what place they were in mentally and emotionally while they were filming.
Think about it, some of them were married to different people, trying to have children, actually pregnant, others dealing with depression and addictions. It’s a past they have left behind and thought they would never be looking back.
