Is Alter Ego renewed or canceled?

Alter Ego, one of FOX’s newest competition series of this year, has finally concluded after 10 epic weeks full of heartbreaking eliminations and groundbreaking performances.

Now that this beloved series has crowned its winner, fans have been wondering when the next competition will commence to give them yet another ridiculously talented singer who is sure to be the nation’s next best thing. However, it seems that fans will have to wait for more information as Alter Ego has yet to be renewed or canceled.

Will there be an Alter Ego season 2?

As previously mentioned, Alter Ego season 2 has yet to be announced, but, there is a fair chance that this series may be renewed as Alter Ego‘s pilot season viewership was fairly impressive.

According to the official ratings, the first episode, which premiered on Sept. 22, 2021, received a total of 2.93 million viewers and was able to remain in this 2 million mark until week 6. After the sixth week, the series did struggle to get in the multi-million range for a few weeks, but it was able to quickly recover by the season 1 finale which drew over 2 million viewers.

With these great numbers taken into consideration, the television network just may renew the competition series to keep up with millions of viewers who already love the series as well as garner more new viewers who may have gotten wind of this intriguing show at the last minute. Hopefully, this is the case as fans are desperately waiting for that season 2 release.

Alter Ego season 2 release date predictions

Should FOX renew Alter Ego for a second season, we predict that it will air sometime in the late summer or early fall of 2022 being that this is when the first season premiered.

As FOX reality series typically do not take too long to premiere their new seasons, we expect the wait for Alter Ego season 2 to be brief. But as these are only predictions, be sure to take this guess with a grain of salt.
