Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 updates: Will there be a season 2?

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is one of the highest-rated anime series of the year as it delivered nothing short of greatness each week.

Unfortuantely, this anime’s series’ first season came to an end yesterday, leaving fans with questions about when season 2 (or part three) will premiere and what exactly this new installment will entail.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 release date

As of today, an official release date for the series’ second installment has yet to be announced, however, according to Comic Book, season 2 (as well as season 3) is already in the works.

With this in mind, there is a chance we can get a new season as soon as Fall 2022, similar to when the most recent installment debuted, or, latest, in 2023. Definitely take this information with a grain of salt as much has yet to be confirmed, but we’ll certainly update you once we know more concrete information.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 cast

Fans of the anime series can certainly expect most of their favorite characters to return once again!

Platinum End voice actor Tomokazu Sugita will reprise his role as our main character Rudeus Greyrat, Ai Kakuma will play Eris Boreas Greyrat once again, Daisuke Namikawa as Ruijerd Superdia, and, most likely, we can expect Black Clover‘s Toshiyuki Morikawa and Horimiya‘s Hisako Kanemoto to reprise their roles of Paul and Zenith Greyrat, respectively (even if it is but for a moment).

Additionally, we can expect a couple of new characters to arrive in the new season as seen in the manga. Who will play these new characters? We will have to wait and see.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 3 synopsis

The last episode of the first season, titled “Wake Up, and One Step Forward”, showed the depressive state of Rudeus following Eris’ sudden departure. Though he initially reverted back to his reclusive nature, he was able to find the inner strength to pull himself out of his episode due to remembering what his mother, Zenith, affectionately said to him in the past.

With this in mind, season 2 will most likely depict Rudeus’ journey to finding Zenith whose status is currently unknown.
